In-Home Behavior Consultation in OKC Metro
Your First Step to a Calm Dog
Before you give up on your dog, give us two hours. Loreanne will come to your home, see the real behavior where it actually happens, and build a tailored, balanced and fear-free plan — no kennel, no pressure, no guesswork.
Why In-Home Training is Best
Real help starts where the behavior lives — your home.
Most training starts in a classroom or a kennel, far from where your dog actually struggles. We do it the other way around. The behavior consultation begins in your living room, your doorway, your backyard — the exact places where the lunging, the barking, the anxiety, or the chaos shows up.

Who This Is For
If this sounds like you, you're in the right place.
The consultation is the right starting point whether you’re in crisis right now or you’re a devoted owner determined to do it right.
"I love my dog, but his behavior has gotten so stressful."
-
Walks have become a battle — lunging or barking at people and other dogs.
-
Having guests over feels impossible, and you worry someone could get hurt.
-
You've quietly wondered if you'll have to rehome him — and you feel like you've failed.
Your dog isn’t broken. He just needs a better plan — and so do you. Our goal is keeping your dog in your home.
"I've done the research. I refuse to give up on my dog."
-
You've maybe been burned by board-and-train regression and want results that last.
-
You want a real behaviorist's approach — not drill-based obedience or quick fixes.
-
You're committed to a rescue with a hard past and want a plan built for your dog.
Not obedience. Not board-and-train. Real behavior change — built around your dog as an individual, with a trainer who stays in your corner.
What We Help With
The behaviors we work on.
The consultation is where we pinpoint what’s really going on. Common starting points include:
Reactivity & aggression
Leash lunging, barking, and dog-on-dog or dog-on-people reactivity — we teach better choices than the reaction.
Anxiety & destructive behavior
Separation anxiety, destructive chewing, and boredom — we replace the panic and the chaos with calm and purpose.
Leash manners & real-world calm
Loose-leash walking and confidence in public, so your dog can “do life” with you anywhere — not just at home.
Puppies & new dogs
Start right with manners, socialization, crate and potty training, and confidence-building from day one.
Rescues & second chances
A tailored plan for a dog with a hard past — greetings, boundaries, and a respectful, trusting bond.
General "won't listen" chaos
The dog that just isn’t listening. We build structure, leadership, and trust — so calm becomes the new normal.
Why Urban Ruffneck K9
How an in-home consultation beats a send-away program.
We don’t send your dog away and hand back a stranger’s results. Here’s what makes the in-home approach stick.
In-home, not sent away
All training starts with a 2-hour in-home consultation, where the real behavior happens — then moves into the real world. You stay involved, so there’s no regression handoff.
Behavior, not just obedience
We change the underlying behavior — reactivity, anxiety, leash pulling — and teach your dog better choices. (Basic obedience gets folded in along the way.)
Balanced AND fear-free
Clear communication — not just cookies and “good boys,” and never harsh corrections. We teach dogs what to do and what not to do: firm, fair, and fear-free.
A partner for the long haul
We coach the human, build the bond, and stay in your corner — with ongoing guidance and invite-only Ruffneck Rover pack walks so the calm holds up in the real world.

What Our Clients Say
See what OKC dog owners are saying
Walter is a remarkable young dog whose transformation has been nothing short of inspirational since finding his forever home. With the unwavering love and support from his mom and dad, he has blossomed into a confident and joyful companion. Their dedication to nurturing his self-esteem has truly made a difference, allowing Walter to thrive and shine in his new environment!
Rosie had endured a challenging and traumatic upbringing, filled with hardships that left deep emotional scars. However, when Mom came into her life, everything changed.
With unwavering support and love, Mom helped Rosie rebuild her shattered confidence and instilled in her the strength needed to confront the world. Thanks to this newfound encouragement, Rosie began to see brighter possibilities for her future, embracing life with hope and determination.
Eddy has always brought joy and laughter to his mom’s life. However, he had a serious issue with separation anxiety, which affected their daily activities. His fear of being away from her made even simple tasks, like running errands or enjoying a date night, very difficult for her. Each time she planned to leave him, she worried because his distress could be deep and upsetting.
Knowing they needed to make a change, they both worked hard to help Eddy see his crate as a comfortable and safe space. With patience and consistency, Eddy began to connect his crate with safety and comfort, which allowed his mom to leave him for longer and longer periods with less fear. Over time, their efforts paid off, and he learned that being apart didn’t have to be so stressful.

The evaluation was incredibly thorough, and it was obvious they have a wealth of knowledge and experience. They took the time to observe our dog’s behavior, answer all of our questions, and explain not only what they were seeing but why it was happening.
What I appreciated most was that we never felt rushed. By the end of the consultation, we had a much better understanding of our dog’s behavior and felt confident about the best next steps. If you’re unsure where to start or just want an honest, professional assessment of your dog’s behavior and training needs, I definitely recommend scheduling an in-home consultation with Urban Ruffneck K9 Training.

They both recently graduated and the build up in their confidence over the last 9-10 months has been incredible! We attended our first pack walk last weekend and they both did great. Evee has learned how to calmly observe and not get worked up over the surrounding environment, and Tana enjoys having new experiences and can recall her commands even when she is tempted to be distracted by all of the new sights and smells while out on a walk. More importantly, we have learned what to do and what not to do in order to encourage good behavior and to go back to the basics that Loreanne taught us if we start to notice them reverting to old behaviors or developing a new issue. We’re thankful that Loreanne is a resource for their lives because Tana is she’s still growing and who knows what she’ll want to try to get away with next!
Side note: your dogs will LOVE Loreanne. She takes the time to bond with them and I joke that they’re always on their tip-top very best behavior when she’s around!
